Hu Yongsheng, the leader of traditional Chinese medicine, proposed that the theory of spleen and stomach is the king of medicine, which is known as the “living dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine”

(Above:Hu Yongsheng, the leader of traditional Chinese medicine)

In the field of traditional Chinese medicine in Jilin, the most famous is the four small famous doctors. Hu Yongsheng and Hu Lao are one of the four small famous doctors in Jilin, and this honor has been obtained when he was young, which shows his deep attainments.

Hu Yongsheng was born in the 15th year of the Republic of China, that is, in 1926. He went to a private school from childhood. He didn't begin to contact medical books until he was 15 years old. He learned from Wang Xianzhou and Gai, two famous traditional Chinese medicine doctors. The two masters studied rigorously and gradually, from shallow to deep. In addition, Hu Yongsheng himself was diligent and tireless. He studied hard every night until late at night and never slacked off. He began to learn from simple clinical practice works, And then slowly deepen the study of ancient medical books, such as “four hundred medicine songs”, “medical school golden mirror” and other ancient medical books, which can be recited like a stream. After six years of medical research, they have created a deep foundation of traditional Chinese medicine. When he returned from his studies, Hu Yongsheng began to hang a pot to cure the sick and save people!

Whenever a doctor comes to the door, Mr. Hu makes careful diagnosis and treatment, which can be effective. Mr. Hu believes that “being more expensive than being expert and good at thinking” is the basic quality that every clinical doctor must have. We should turn the summarized knowledge of predecessors in books into wealth in our brain, and browse books! He advocated that we should have our own originality and oppose dead reading. If we die, we can only follow the footsteps of our predecessors and it is difficult to innovate! Especially in clinical practice, it is difficult to apply mechanically, which may be counterproductive.

Hu Lao is especially good at adjusting the spleen and stomach, and pays attention to the rising and falling of Qi and blood in our body's internal organs. The spleen rises and the stomach falls, the liver rises and the lung falls, the spleen grows and the essence and Qi can rise, and the stomach falls and the dross can go down. He said: “people should eat three meals in their life, and everything grows in the earth, and everything belongs to the earth. Li Dongyuan's theory on the spleen and stomach is the king of medicine, and we should pay attention to the maintenance of the human body's spleen and stomach!

Due to Hu Yongsheng's diligent study of classics and various works, and his unique and meticulous clinical thinking, an endless stream of people came to see Hu Lao for treatment, and his academic system was more complete, becoming a style of everyone!

Our traditional Chinese medicine culture is broad and profound, but when thousands of years of traditional Chinese medicine civilization, the traditional mode of master with apprentice encountered the impact of modern traditional Chinese medicine schools, Hu Yongsheng had a strong sense of historical responsibility in his heart. After all, inheritance has always been nothing small.

In 1955, Hu Yongsheng was invited by the Jilin Department of health to teach at the Changchun School of traditional Chinese medicine at that time, which is also the predecessor of today's Changchun University of traditional Chinese medicine. This teaching has been for more than 60 years. Hu has always been at the forefront of teaching and devoted his enthusiasm to the teaching of traditional Chinese medicine. The school has a rich collection of books, but whenever someone asks about the collection of traditional Chinese Medicine Classics in the school library, Hu can answer like a stream, Therefore, it is also called “walking dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine” by later generations.

In addition to carefully studying classics such as “Internal Classic” and “Treatise on Febrile Diseases”, Mr. Hu also has a deep research on “Qianjin prescription” and “waitai secret”, and pays attention to the collection of some unilateral and tested prescriptions. He believes that formulary is the hinge between the theory and practice of traditional Chinese medicine. Only on the basis of mastering the nature, taste and function of drugs, can we have a deeper understanding of the compatibility of prescriptions, Then the recipe can reach the level of perfection. The book “folk folk folk prescriptions and miraculous Prescriptions” written by Professor Hu Yongsheng has been one of the best-selling medical books so far. This folk prescription, which he has referred to a large number of ancient and modern masterpieces, integrates his own clinical summary for many years, is worth reading, reference and collection! Have a look if you need it!

He said that his works are written for others to see, so we should not act carelessly and let fallacies spread. His works and the summary of clinical symptoms and academic chapters have repeatedly aroused widespread understanding in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. Although Hu Lao loves traditional Chinese medicine, he does not exclude western medicine. He believes that although the systems of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine are different, the purpose is the same, both of which are to cure the sick and save people. He also tries to learn western medicine knowledge, which is more conducive to the study of traditional Chinese medicine.

In addition to his medical attainments, Hu Yongsheng also attaches great importance to professional ethics. He often tells students that “it is easy to learn medicine, but difficult to do so, we must first have a moral character, and then a medical quality”. He opposes pursuing fame and wealth, not learning and skill, and serious scholarship. In clinical diagnosis and treatment, he does not miss any symptoms, and strives to be accurate!

In 1991, with his strength, he was selected as the tutor of the first session of the Ministry of personnel, the Ministry of health and the administration of traditional Chinese medicine for the inheritance of the academic experience of 500 national famous traditional Chinese medicine experts. In October of the next year, he began to enjoy the special legal sticker issued by the government and won the honorary title of “national famous traditional Chinese medicine”.
